Things to know before you go:
Answers to some frequently asked questions:
Villa Arrival times: You should arrive at your villa between 16.00 and 19.00. You will need to vacate your villa by 10.00 on the day of departure. Security deposits: On arrival at most villas the keyholder or owner will ask you for a security deposit. This is to cover any breakages or damage in the villa during your stay. In a small number of cases this is payable prior to arrival. The amount payable will vary from villa to villa. This is usually payable in the local currency or in travellers cheques. Linen and towels: Most villas will provide bed linen and towels. However, there are some villas where a local charge will be made for these and you will have to order them in advance. A small number of villas do not provide either bed linen or towels and also do not make them available for hire. In these villas you will need to take your own with you. Swimming pools: Villas with private or shared swimming pools are usually only available during high season (end May – mid September). Pools will not be heated unless this is stated in the property information. Electricity, air-conditioning and heating: Electricity is normally included during the rental period. There are a small number of properties where this is charged locally. During low season a charge normally applies for electricity and heating. If swimming pools have heating then this is normally charged for locally. Local Tax: The Balearic government implemented a new ‘ecotax’ or tourist tax in 2002. The tax is payable in Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza and will be collected at your villa by a local official and costs 1 euro per person per day. A local tourist tax is also payable in some other destinations. End of stay cleaning: You are expected to leave the villa clean and tidy. An end of stay cleaning charge may be charged in some villas. In some villas a maid service is included and additional cleaning may be requested and paid for locally. Terms and Conditions: You can find Iglu's terms & conditions: here and privacy policy: here. On request villas: In some instances our villa holidays are available on a request basis. This means that when booking your holiday the villa availability will need to be checked with the villa owner before a confirmed booking can be finalised. Whilst we endeavour to do this as quickly as possible, this process can sometimes take as long as 48 hours. We can not request a villa until we are holding a form of payment for the holiday. |
