These comfortable apartments at Mousses are named after the Muses, the nine ancient goddesses who were to provide the inspiration for those turning their hand to artistic and scientific pursuits. Guests can have the opportunity to stay in Calliope, Clio, Erato, Euterpe, Melpomene, Polyhymnia, Terpsichore, Thalia and Urania who were the muses of epic poetry, history, love poetry, music, tragedy, sacred poetry, dancing, comedy and astronomy respectively. These talented daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne were led by Apollo, who lends his name to the tenth apartment. Whilst we cannot promise that a stay here will encourage you to take up the lyre, tragedian’s mask, astrolabe or stylus, we do believe that both families and couples alike will find the inspiration to enjoy a thoroughly comfortable and laid-back holiday.

Mousses apartments are superbly placed to enjoy a variety of interests. Beach lovers and experienced kite or windsurfers will appreciate the proximity to the lovely beach at Agios Ioannis, walkers will enjoy strolling along the shore past windmills and dunes, whilst everyone can enjoy the proximity to good tavernas either close to the sea or along the waterfront in endearingly unpretentious Lefkas Town.

The apartments are located in six buildings in enclosed and well-tended gardens in a quiet olive grove.

Each apartment takes the form of a maisonette with a spacious open plan living room space and kitchenette; fully equipped (small fridge, mini-oven, hob) and shower room occupying the ground floor, with the two bedrooms on the floor above accessed by a wooden staircase (parents please note that there is no railing and so care should be taken with small children).

Unlike much newly-built accommodation, Mousses does not lack character with its attractive beamed ceilings and richly coloured walls, tiled murals depicting figures from the age of myths and handsome, dark, heavy, wooden furniture. The front terrace is a pleasant spot to read a book whilst keeping half an eye on the children playing in the large shared pool or in the enclosed gardens.

The Creche and Club (for children 6 monts to 5 years old) and the Simply Club (for children 6 to 10 years old) can be pre-booked by guests staying at Mousses and moutine bike hire at a local charge.
