Please check the property description
for the exact location of your villa.

This traditional river side villa in Normandy on river Seine is reminiscent of an English Tudor country house. With original wood panelling and beautiful tiled floors this ' maison de maitre' offers an elegant riverside retreat on the banks of the River Seine with direct access onto the towpath.
The property' s elegance is reflected in the well maintained gardens surrounding the house. There is a huge, flat lawn for children to play, and mature trees for summer shade.
Porte Joie is a small hamlet (no amenities) in the Eure region of Normandy. This is an area which takes its cuisine seriously - sample duck ' a la Rouennaise' or one of the many well-known Normandy cheeses such as Neufchâtel, Pont L' Evêque or Livarot. The coastal towns offer local dishes of Dieppe Sole and Normandy Oysters. Half a mile from Vue sur Seine is a good Manor House restaurant.
Rouen is a lively city with an active river port and many historical buildings. Visit the Joan of Arc Museum or the Museum of Fine Arts. 23 miles south is Giverny, site of the Monet house and water gardens. Other places of interest for visitors include the Parc Naturale Regionale des Boucles de la Foret de Brotonne, the town of Les Andelys with its chateau on a island in the Seine, Pont-de-l'Arche and the beautiful village of Forges-les-Eaux. This river side villa in Normandy on river Seine is well situated to visit this part of North West and Central France.
