Golf Holiday Villas in Spain

With around 150 courses and some of the best year round golfing weather in Europe, it is no wonder golf holidays in Spain are among the most popular in the world. The Ryder Cup showdown in Valderama in 1997 put Spanish courses firmly on the map, and with great names like Balesteros and Olazabal in their ranks, the locals aren't bad either.

Although the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca have the highest concentration of courses in the country, you will also find golf on offer around Seville, Madrid and in the Basque country. If you are intending to have a round or two inland then try to avoid the height of summer when the heat and lack of any sea breeze can become unbearable. The ideal time to enjoy golf holidays in Spain is between March and May and September and November. During this period, the average temperature is around 75F rising to 82F in the summer months.

Golf Holidays in the Balearics
