The region is so diverse in its landscape and rich in history and architecture as to make it touring country par excellence and the ideal destination for a villa holiday. For many, Andalucía is the real Spain, rich in folkloric traditions and home to the most passionate fiestas of the Iberian Peninsula. Although perhaps better known for its coastal resorts and the mesmeric cities of Seville and Granada, it is the landscapes of the interior and the white hilltop villages that truly characterise Andalucía.

PLACES TO SEE WHILE ON YOUR VILLA HOLIDAY IN ANDALUCIA

What better a way to see the gems of Andalucia than to base yourself in a wonderful villa and take day trips out? Worthy of a visit is Seville who pulsates with romance, awash with images of Figaro, Don Juan and Carmen, and with real-life figures of horseback caballeros and their señoritas during the Semana Santa and other festivals.
As well as the unique mosque-cathedral, Cordoba's treasures include the Alcazar, or Fortress, built by the Christians in 1328; the Calahorra Fort, originally built by the Arabs, which guards the Roman Bridge, and the ancient Jewish Synagogue, now a museum.
One of Granada's most brilliant jewels of universal architecture is the Alhambra, a series of palaces and gardens built under the Nazari Dynasty in the 14th C. This mighty compound of buildings stands at the foot of Spain's highest mountain range, the Sierra Nevada, and overlooks the city below.
Among Malaga's major attractions are the Moorish Alcazaba and the splendid Mediterranean coast.

SHOPPING WHILE ON YOUR VILLA HOLIDAY IN ANDALUCIA
Atarazanas, Malaga Central Market is absolutely not to be missed. The Spanish aren't really into second-hand goods, although where there are large expat populations and tourists this seems to be changing. Up and down the coast, antique markets /car boot sales held on Saturdays and Sundays are popular with tourists and locals alike.

ANDALUCIA VILLAS AND NIGHT LIFE
The region provides its own entertainment: sandy beaches, huge, unspoiled natural areas and the simple pleasures of eating and drinking on sidewalk cafés or on the beach, or just watching the world go by.
There are numerous night life possibilities in Andalucia, from boisterous bars to classy clubs.

EATING OUT ON YOUR VILLA HOLIDAY IN ANDALUCIA
If you fancy a break from the washing up on your Andalucian Villa Holiday, why not head out to one of the many fantastic eating houses around to sample some traditional fayre. Try a glass of cold sherry with tapas, a bowl of gazpacho (cold tomato and garlic soup), an omelette of wild asparagus and dry cured ham, or the mouthwatering paella (seafood, chicken and saffron rice).

BEACHES TO VISIT FROM YOUR VILLA HOLIDAY IN ANDALUCIA
3000 hours of sun per year, many kilometers of golden sand beaches...The coast of Huelva and Cadiz corresponds to the Atlantic Ocean and is characterized by fine sand. The Mediterranean coast, from the Strait of Gibraltar to Almeria, on the other hand, offers smoother climate with less wind and higher water temperatures.

ANDALUCIAN VILLA HOLIDAYS : WHAT THE REGION IS WELL KNOWN FOR
Enjoy the magic of Flamenco dancing and bullfighting while on your villa holiday in Andalucia. The countryside is ideal for walks or even horse trekking.
If you want to be a little more active why not try skiing in the Sierra Nevada or even surfing at the coast of Cadiz.
The Ardales National Park, situated less than an hour's drive inland from Málaga, is an area of striking natural beauty ideal for a change of scene on your wonderful villa holiday in Andalucia.
